We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to provide Level 2 (L2) Application Management Support (AMS) for SAP Finance and Controlling processes in an SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA landscape.

The consultant will support incident/problem management, service requests, minor enhancements, configuration changes, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong functional configuration skills across FI and CO, solid understanding of end-to-end finance processes, and integration knowledge with MM, SD, and banking/interface middleware.

This position requires Mandarin-speaking capability (spoken and written) to support Mandarin-speaking stakeholders/users.

Key Responsibilities

1. AMS & Production Support (L2)

  • Own end-to-end L2 support for SAP FI/CO incidents, service requests, and minor enhancements within agreed SLAs.
  • Perform issue analysis and troubleshooting; identify configuration vs. master data vs. integration vs. user/process gaps.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), implement preventive fixes, and drive problem management to reduce recurring tickets.
  • Support period-end activities (month-end/quarter-end/year-end): close cockpit, accruals, allocations, settlements, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with L3/Build, Basis, and infrastructure teams for performance, job failures, authorizations, and system issues.

2. SAP FI (Financial Accounting) Configuration & Support

  • Support and configure key FI areas: General Ledger (incl. New GL), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and taxes (where applicable).
  • Manage payment processes: APP, payment media, bank statement (EBS), clearing, and reconciliation; support bank interfaces/middleware.
  • Resolve posting errors and integration issues from MM (GR/IR, IV), SD (billing, revenue postings), and other feeder systems.

3. SAP CO (Controlling) Configuration & Support

  • Support and configure CO modules: Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, Product Cost Controlling (if in scope), and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) where applicable.
  • Run and support period-end CO activities: allocations/distributions/assessments, overhead calculation, settlements, and reconciliations (FI-CO).
  • Support planning/budgeting processes and controlling reports; troubleshoot reconciliation and variance issues.

4. Enhancements & Change Management

  • Gather and analyse business requirements; translate them into functional solutions and configuration changes.
  • Prepare Functional Specifications (FS) for developments/enhancements and coordinate with ABAP/Integration teams.
  • Execute unit testing; support SIT/UAT; manage defects and coordinate transport requests across the landscape.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation: configuration, SOPs, KT documents, and knowledge articles for faster resolution.

Convince us with your potential!

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of SAP FICO functional experience with strong hands-on configuration and production support exposure.
  • Proven experience in AMS/Run (L2) model: incident management, service request handling, problem management/RCA, and minor enhancements.
  • Strong knowledge of FI: GL (New GL), AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting/EBS, and payment processes (APP/payment media).
  • Strong knowledge of CO: cost centers, internal orders, profit centers, allocations, settlements, and period-end close; CO-PA and/or product costing is a plus.
  • Good integration knowledge with MM (GR/IR, IV), SD (billing, revenue postings), and interfaces to banking/third-party systems.
  • Experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA; exposure to Fiori apps and S/4 Finance simplifications is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow/JIRA/SolMan) and strong documentation discipline.
  • Mandarin-speaking (spoken and written) to support Mandarin-speaking stakeholders/users; English proficiency required.

Preferred Skills

  • SAP certification in FI and/or CO.
  • Experience with intercompany processes, group reporting/consolidation, or electronic invoicing (as applicable).
  • Experience supporting FI/CO interfaces (IDoc, PI/PO, CPI, middleware) and job monitoring.

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication (including handling escalations).
  • Analytical and structured problem-solving with ability to prioritise and work under SLA pressure.
  • Ability to work in global delivery model; flexible for support shifts/weekend coverage (if applicable).
