Employment Type: Full-time / Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO). The consultant will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing SAP FICO solutions while working closely with business stakeholders to meet financial and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support SAP FI & CO configuration and implementation activities.
  • Handle end-to-end processes in Financial Accounting (FI) including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Bank Accounting
  • Manage Controlling (CO) processes including:
  • Cost Center Accounting
  • Profit Center Accounting
  • Internal Orders
  • Product Costing (preferred)
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Work closely with ABAP/technical teams for enhancements, reports, interfaces, and forms.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Perform system testing, UAT support, and issue resolution.
  • Provide post-go-live support and handle incident/change management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare functional documentation and provide user training.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of SAP FICO consulting experience.
  • Strong hands-on configuration experience in FI and CO modules.
  • Experience in implementation and/or support projects.
  • Good understanding of integration with MM, SD, and other SAP modules.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes and accounting principles.
  • Experience in writing functional specifications and coordinating with technical teams.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in a regional or global SAP environment is an advantage.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance or migration projects.
  • Experienced in Lease Accounting
  • Knowledge of local statutory and tax requirements in Malaysia.
  • Exposure to SAP FSCM, New GL, or Group Reporting.
  • SAP FICO certification is an added advantage.
