Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead and manage Application Management Services (AMS) engagements for SAP landscapes. The role involves overseeing steady-state support, enhancements, minor projects, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring SLA adherence, stakeholder satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end SAP AMS project governance, including transition, steady-state operations, and continuous improvement
- Manage SAP support and enhancement projects across modules such as SAP S/4HANA, ECC, FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM, BW, and related systems
- Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors
- Define and manage SLAs, KPIs, and OLAs, ensuring contractual compliance
- Plan and track incident, problem, change, and release management activities
- Manage resource planning, capacity management, and utilization for AMS teams
- Drive service improvement initiatives, automation, and process optimization
- Oversee risk management, issue resolution, and escalation management
- Ensure compliance with ITIL-based service management processes
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly status reports, dashboards, and governance updates
- Support audit, compliance, and security requirements related to SAP operations
Required Skills & Experience
- 812+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years as an SAP Project Manager
- Strong hands-on experience managing SAP AMS / Run & Maintain projects
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Service Request)
- Experience managing multi-vendor and offshore/onshore delivery models
- Strong knowledge of SAP landscapes (ECC and/or S/4HANA)
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders at senior and executive levels
- Strong financial management skills (budgeting, forecasting, cost control)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
