Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant

Company Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance AMS Consultant to join our regional IT centre of excellence. This role is fundamental to ensuring the integrity, stability, and efficiency of our core financial systems. As a key member of our integrated support team, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial backbone of our operations within our state-of-the-art SAP S/4HANA landscape.

Job Description:

As the SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant, you will act as the lead functional expert for all aspects of financial and management accounting within our SAP ecosystem. Your primary responsibility is to provide robust and reliable application support for the S4H Finance (FICO) modules. This role operates within our comprehensive RISE with SAP managed framework, requiring a deep understanding of both financial processes and the specific governance of a managed service model. Your key objectives will be to ensure seamless financial operations, manage system changes, and collaborate with business units to optimize financial processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Support & Incident Management: Deliver expert-level functional support for SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling modules. Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving production incidents, service requests, and complex problems to meet and exceed service level agreements.
  • System Enhancements & Change Control: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of finance-related change requests, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment, ensuring compliance with financial controls.
  • Integrated Process Support: Ensure the seamless flow of financial data by supporting the key integration points between FICO and other core business processes, including Logistics (SD/MM), Production Planning (PP), Project Systems (PS), and Ariba procurement platform.
  • Financial Process Optimization: Serve as a strategic partner to the finance department, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance core financial processes such as period-end closing, financial reporting, asset management, and cost controlling.
  • User Enablement & Knowledge Management: Empower the finance user community by providing expert guidance, resolving functional queries, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for system processes and best practices.
  • System Monitoring & Governance: Monitor financial closing jobs, system interfaces, and performance within the RISE with SAP environment to ensure data integrity, system reliability, and compliance.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between finance stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external partners to ensure the delivery of cohesive and effective application management services.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in SAP FICO, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA Finance in a consulting and application support capacity.
  • Mandatory: Must have hands-on experience in at least one end-to-end SAP RISE project and support, demonstrating a clear understanding of the support model and governance processes.
  • In-depth configuration and support knowledge of core SAP S/4HANA Finance modules (FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP, FI-AA, CO-PA, CO-PC).
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in agribusiness, natural resources, waste management, Process industry or other asset-intensive industries with complex commodity-based supply chains is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage incidents, problems, and changes using a structured methodology (e.g., ITIL).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a talent for troubleshooting complex system issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical peers and business stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced support environment.
  • Relevant SAP S/4HANA or ITIL certifications are a significant advantage.
