We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA Consultant with a strong background in Finance (FI/CO) to support the development, optimization, and governance of our SAP application landscape.
As part of our Japan/APAC SAP organization, you will contribute to the delivery of global ERP transformation initiatives and the rollout of a harmonized SAP S/4HANA template across regions.

This role requires strong ownership, professional maturity, and the capability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and global process owners.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Expertise & Solution Delivery
- Lead functional design, configuration, and enhancement activities for SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO).
- Provide expert-level support across all Finance processes; experience with Group Reporting is highly advantageous.
- Ensure solutions align with global template standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Project Participation
- Contribute to global and regional SAP implementation and transformation projects.
- Support design workshops, fit-gap analysis, functional testing, and data migration efforts.
- Serve as a workstream lead for smaller initiatives and provide domain expertise for larger rollouts.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and system performance.
- Support the evaluation and adoption of SAP BTP services, AI/ML capabilities, and SAP Joule where applicable.
- Ensure high system stability, data integrity, and optimal end-user experience.
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation for functional designs, configurations, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure appropriate user access controls and adherence to security standards.
- Support Tier 1 and business teams through structured knowledge transfer and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on consulting or in-house experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO).
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Finance processes and cross-module integration.
- Experience participating in or supporting global template or multi-region rollouts.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multicultural environment across multiple time zones.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Group Reporting in S/4HANA.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP (Integration Suite, Workflow, Extensions).
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies or SAP Joule-based use cases.
- Understanding of IT general controls and compliance requirements.
