JOB PURPOSE
Directly reporting to the Head of HR Technology, the SAP SuccessFactors Functional Consultant will serve as the functional lead for SAP SuccessFactors, responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and optimising cloud-based HR modules to meet Taylor's Education business requirements.
The role acts as a key liaison between People & Culture stakeholders and technical teams/vendors, translating HR processes into system configuration, ensuring robust testing and smooth deployments, and supporting ongoing enhancements and AMS operations. The consultant will also play a critical role in enabling process automation, ensuring data integrity, and improving user adoption through training and documentation.
In addition, the role will support end-to-end HR-to-payroll process alignment, including functional collaboration on Employee Central Payroll (ECP) to ensure accurate replication, payroll readiness, and smooth downstream processing.
KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
1) SuccessFactors Functional Configuration & Delivery
Configure and maintain SAP SuccessFactors modules including (but not limited to) Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Compensation, Time Off / Time Tracking, ensuring alignment with business processes and best practices.
2) Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Functional Support (Preferred / Key)
Support payroll-related functional requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors, ensuring end-to-end process integrity from core HR to payroll execution. This includes:
3) Workflow, Rules & Role-Based Permissions (RBP)
Design and configure workflows, approval routing, business rules, alerts/notifications, and Role-Based Permissions (RBP) to support secure, compliant, and efficient HR processes across Taylor's Education.
4) Requirements Gathering & Solution Design
Conduct workshops and stakeholder discussions to understand As-Is processes and define To-Be solutions. Translate requirements into functional design and maintain documentation such as configuration workbooks, process maps, and change logs.
5) Implementation Support & Enhancements
Support end-to-end implementation activities including configuration build, system validation, and deployment readiness. Drive continuous improvements by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience, and enhance automation across HR operations.
6) System Testing (SIT/UAT) & Defect Resolution
Lead functional testing activities including SIT and UAT, prepare test scenarios/scripts, coordinate with business users, and ensure timely resolution of defects through strong collaboration with internal teams and vendors. This includes ensuring adequate coverage for payroll-impacting scenarios, where applicable.
7) Data Migration, Validation & Data Quality
Support data migration and system updates by performing data checks, validation, reconciliation, and ensuring high levels of data integrity and accuracy across SuccessFactors modules for reporting and operational use, including payroll-impacting data where relevant.
8) AMS Support & Ticket Management
Provide functional support for incidents and change requests, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution planning. Manage vendor engagement and follow-ups to ensure timely closure of tickets and adherence to service levels.
This includes supporting and triaging issues impacting HR-to-payroll processing, replication, and time-related workflows where applicable.
9) User Training & Documentation
Develop and maintain user guides, job aids, FAQs, and training materials. Conduct walkthroughs and training sessions for People & Culture users and stakeholders to support adoption, capability building, and smooth change transitions.
10) Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory
Serve as a trusted functional advisor to People & Culture leaders, HRBPs, and business stakeholders, providing guidance on system capabilities, feasibility, and best-practice recommendations for HR digitalisation.
11) Release Management & Continuous Learning
Stay updated on SAP SuccessFactors release updates, new features, and emerging HR technology trends. Evaluate impact and recommend enhancements aligned with Taylor's HR transformation roadmap.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, HR Management, or a related discipline.
RELATED EXPERIENCE
Minimum 35 years of experience as a SuccessFactors Functional Consultant / HRIS Functional Consultant (implementation and/or support).
Strong hands-on experience in SuccessFactors configuration, particularly in areas such as:

Employee Central Payroll (ECP) exposure is highly preferred, including understanding of payroll-impacting processes, replication dependencies, and payroll validation / reconciliation support.
SuccessFactors certification(s) is an advantage (e.g., EC, RCM, ONB, PMGM, Compensation). ECP exposure/certification is an added advantage.
