Why does this job exist and why is it critical
This is SAP Technical Lead role to own all SAP initiatives/projects and govern SAP S/4 architecture/services. He/She will manage all SAP S/4 technical on changes request, issue and SAP related projects that encompasses Basis, ABAP, Embedded Analytics and PI/PO. He/She is a financial technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.
What are you accountable for
- Utilize logical and analytical strengths in SAP ABAP, HANA/AMDP, SOAP/Rest API's, SAP EA, SAP PI/PO, etc
- Extensive experience in Object Oriented ABAP, Enhancement Spots, BADIs, User Exits, Web IDE, HANA Views and ABAP CDS Views
- Worked on Data Conversions and Data Uploads from Legacy Systems, ALE/IDOC, ABAP Query, and BDC, LSMW, Dialogue Programming, RFC and Authorization Objects.
- Proficient with Native HANA View development including usage of AMDP/CDS
- Experience with SAP HANA SLT
- Advanced knowledge of S/4 architecture, design and business processes.
- Knowledge of HANA infrastructure architecture disciplines.
- Advise on technical approach for all system integrating to SAP
- Manage all SAP technical changes
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders - technical and business.
- The candidate will have experience in coordinating with offshore and remote teams for Technical specification, coding, unit testing, and integration deliverables.
- Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills able to identify flexible and forward thinking IT solutions
What do you need to have for this role
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Minimum 810 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA technical areas including ABAP, Basis, Embedded Analytics, and PI/PO
- Advanced expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP, HANA Views, CDS, AMDP, SLT, and integration technologies (SOAP/REST APIs)
- Proven ability to manage SAP architecture, technical changes, and collaborate with offshore teams; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management; certification in SAP or related technologies preferred
