Job Summary
The SAP VMS Consultant is responsible for implementing and supporting vehicle lifecycle management processes within SAP. The role involves configuring vehicle management functionality and integrating it with sales, logistics, and financial modules to support automotive OEMs and dealerships.
Key Responsibilities
1. SAP VMS Implementation & Configuration
- Configure and implement SAP Vehicle Management System processes including:
- Vehicle master data management
- Vehicle ordering
- Vehicle allocation and distribution
- Vehicle sales and billing
- Vehicle stock management
2. SAP SD Integration
- Configure and support integration with SAP Sales and Distribution including:
- Sales order processing
- Pricing procedures
- Billing and invoicing
- Delivery and shipping processes
3. Business Process Analysis
- Gather business requirements from automotive sales, logistics, and dealer management teams.
- Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend SAP-based solutions.
- Document functional specifications and system designs.
4. Vehicle Lifecycle Management
- Manage end-to-end vehicle lifecycle processes:
- Procurement
- Production allocation
- Vehicle distribution
- Dealer delivery
- Customer sales
5. Integration with Other SAP Modules
Work closely with teams handling:
- SAP Materials Management
- SAP Financial Accounting
- SAP Extended Warehouse Management
- SAP S/4HANA
6. Testing & Deployment
- Prepare functional design documents (FDD).
- Support unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
- Provide go-live and post-implementation support.
7. Support & Optimization
- Provide L2/L3 support for VMS-related issues.
- Analyze system enhancements and improve vehicle sales processes.
