Job Description
We are looking for a local English teacher to join our English department to teach English as a First and Second language in KS3 and KS4 from January 2027.

Role Description The Secondary English Teacher will deliver engaging and inclusive English lessons to students in the secondary school, ensuring alignment with the school's curriculum and learning objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and preparing lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of achievement. The teacher will create a positive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and confidence in reading, writing, and speaking. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, participating in school events and meetings, and engaging with parents and guardians regarding student progress. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor Bahru.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in English Teaching with experience of teaching students with English as a second or additional language.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher with relevant teaching credentials or certification.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for secondary-level English.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse school community and adapt to different learning needs.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field; a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level in an international or multicultural school setting is an advantage.
