Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide strong and fair leadership to maintenance technicians, ensuring accountability and motivation.
  • Coach and mentor team members on problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Promote a positive and preventive mindset within the team.
  • Demonstrate nuanced communication skills, especially in heated or high-pressure situations, to maintain professionalism and resolve conflicts effectively.

Maintenance Operations

  • Support technicians in fixing breakdowns and resolving technical downtimes during escalations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data input by technicians into maintenance systems.
  • Push activities toward preventive maintenance rather than reactive problem-solving.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring issues and systemic weaknesses.
  • Derive and implement improvement projects based on data-driven insights.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions to find true root causes and prevent recurrence.

Engineering Collaboration

  • Work closely with the engineering section to improve unstable machine designs and enhance reliability.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for design improvements based on maintenance insights.

Cost Control & Optimization

  • Understand and analyze maintenance costs, including spare parts, labor, and downtime impact.
  • Develop and implement measures to reduce overall maintenance costs without compromising quality or safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and automation troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage costs and lead improvement projects.
  • Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
