Do you see yourself as Security and Risk Manager for IHG's Luxury brand

To lead the resort's security, safety, and risk management functions, ensuring a secure environment for guests, colleagues, and assets. The role is responsible for implementing robust security protocols, emergency preparedness, compliance, and proactive risk mitigation aligned with IHG standards.

Your day to day:-

1. Security Operations Management

• Oversee all security operations including access control, surveillance, patrols, and incident response
• Ensure 24/7 security coverage across the resort (including public areas, back-of-house, beach, villas, and perimeter)
• Manage CCTV systems, alarm systems, and other security technologies
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with IHG brand standards

2. Risk Assessment & Mitigation

• Conduct regular risk assessments covering physical security, operational risks, and guest safety
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement preventive measures
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register
• Lead crisis and business continuity planning

3. Health, Safety & Emergency Preparedness

• Develop and implement emergency response plans (fire, medical, natural disasters, security threats)
• Conduct regular drills and simulations for staff preparedness
• Ensure compliance with fire safety systems and life safety standards
• Coordinate with local emergency services and authorities

4. Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with local laws, licensing, and safety regulations
• Maintain documentation for audits and internal reviews
• Ensure adherence to IHG safety and security standards
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions

5. Asset Protection & Loss Prevention

• Implement measures to safeguard hotel assets, cash handling, and inventory
• Monitor and reduce theft, fraud, and pilferage
• Conduct investigations into internal and external incidents

6. Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, and manage the security team (including third-party contractors if applicable)
• Ensure team is trained in emergency response, guest handling, and conflict resolution
• Conduct performance management and continuous development

7. Guest & Colleague Safety Experience

• Maintain a visible yet guest-friendly security presence
• Ensure security protocols do not compromise guest experience
• Support VIP movements and high-profile guest security requirements

8. Technology & Systems

• Manage security systems including CCTV analytics, access control, key card systems, and incident reporting tools
• Evaluate and implement new technologies for enhanced security
