Security Officer

Job Summary

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, visitors, and company assets. The role involves monitoring premises, conducting patrols, preventing unauthorized access, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security procedures and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and security breaches.
• Screen visitors, contractors, and employees in accordance with security protocols.
• Prepare accurate incident, occurrence, and daily activity reports.
• Investigate suspicious activities and escalate issues to supervisors when necessary.
• Provide assistance and directions to visitors and customers.
• Ensure all security equipment, CCTV systems, and access control systems are functioning properly.
• Enforce company policies, safety standards, and security procedures.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant authorities when required.
• Support emergency evacuation procedures and crowd management activities.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Additional security-related certifications are an advantage.

Experience

• At least 1-2 years of experience in security operations, customer service, or a related field.
