Senior Account Executive

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to join our finance team at BACCUS SDN BHD. In this full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor, you will play a key role in providing high-quality financial accounting and reporting support to our growing organisation. What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, accounts, and statements in compliance with accounting standards and policies
2. Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decision-making
3. Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of reports and presentations
4. Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as the finance team and department heads, to provide financial information and advice
5. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations, standards, and best practices
6. Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
7. Prepare and manage monthly payments, invoices, and receipts.
8. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
9. Assist in audit matters by preparing audit schedules and supporting documents.
10. Coordinate with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, and banks.
11. Support ad-hoc accounting and finance-related assignments assigned by management

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. 8+ years of experience in a senior accounting or financial reporting role, preferably in the Financial Accounting & Reporting industry
3. Excellent knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and reporting standards
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
5. Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
7. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
8. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range : RM 5,000 - RM 6500
