Job Description

Position: Senior Account Executive

Company's background: Transport & Logistics

Status: 12 Months Contract Under PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd

Work location: Kawasan Perindustrian I-Park, Bandar Indahpura, Kulai 81000, Johor

Working days: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 8.00am – 5.30pm

Salary: Up to RM10,000

Benefits: EPF, SOCSO & EIS, Annual Leave, MC, AIA, Insurance

Key Responsibilities :

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

• Review and finalize journal entries, balance sheet schedules, and account reconciliations.

• Review month-end and year-end consolidation packs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking.

2. Cost & Manufacturing Accounting

• Analyze material variances, overhead absorption, labor efficiency, and production yield.

• Prepare and analyze inventory valuation, WIP movement, and slow-moving/obsolete stock

provisions.

3. Internal Controls & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.

• Strengthen internal controls around purchasing, inventory, production, and cost allocation.

• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents during statutory audits.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Production, and within Finance teams.

• Support automation initiatives and process improvements.

• Provide financial guidance for operational initiatives.

• Any other ad-hoc projects as deemed necessary in supporting the Finance team.

5. Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) preferred.

• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing workflows.

• Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
