Job Description

Position: Senior Account Executive

Company's background: Transport & Logistics

Status: 12 Months Contract Under PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd

Work location: Kawasan Perindustrian I-Park, Bandar Indahpura, Kulai 81000, Johor

Working days: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 8.00am 5.30pm

Salary: Up to RM10,000

Benefits: EPF, SOCSO & EIS, Annual Leave, MC, AIA, Insurance

Key Responsibilities :

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

Review and finalize journal entries, balance sheet schedules, and account reconciliations.

Review month-end and year-end consolidation packs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking.

2. Cost & Manufacturing Accounting

Analyze material variances, overhead absorption, labor efficiency, and production yield.

Prepare and analyze inventory valuation, WIP movement, and slow-moving/obsolete stock

provisions.

3. Internal Controls & Compliance

Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.

Strengthen internal controls around purchasing, inventory, production, and cost allocation.

Liaise with external auditors and tax agents during statutory audits.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Operations, Production, and within Finance teams.

Support automation initiatives and process improvements.

Provide financial guidance for operational initiatives.

Any other ad-hoc projects as deemed necessary in supporting the Finance team.

5. Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing workflows.

Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
