About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Account Executive on a contract basis (69 months) to support our finance operations across Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in full-set accounting, and ready to contribute in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Manage full set of accounts including AP/AR, invoicing, payments, and monthly aging.
-Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, payroll, bank charges, month-end adjustments).
-Reconcile balance sheet items (bank, inventory, WIP, intercompany).
-Maintain fixed assets register, handle monthly depreciation, additions, and disposals.
-Coordinate audit, tax filing, transfer pricing, and compliance activities.
-Process bank transactions, wire transfers, and reconciliations.
-Manage intercompany offsets and monthly reconciliations.
-Support project accounting (project creation, billing updates, revenue tracking).
-Update exchange rates in CSI system monthly.
-Handle timesheet processing, customer order management, and procurement activities.
-Manage withholding tax, assist with e-invoicing implementation, and participate in stock counts.
-Ensure pioneer status compliance, manage company secretary matters, and lease documentation.
-Execute junior-level accounting tasks and assist in financial administration as required.
Qualifications & Experience
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
-Professional certification (ACCA, MIA, or similar) preferred.
-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 2+ years in managerial capacity.
-Strong knowledge of Malaysian statutory reporting and compliance.
-Proficient in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, CSI, or equivalent).
-Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
