Here Is What The Job Entails

In the role as our Senior Account Manager within Water Utility, you will be responsible for developing Kamstrup's water utility business in Malaysia while contributing to selected opportunities across the APAC region. You will be responsible for driving sales of integrated hardware, software, and service solutions tailored to the needs of water utility customers. Furthermore, you will play a key role executing sales strategies to achieve regional growth targets.

More specifically, you will be:

  • Prospecting water utility customers and building a strong sales pipeline
  • Establishing and executing account plans for key utility customers, including stakeholder mapping, multi-level engagement, and relationship tracking in CRM
  • Calculating pricing based on commercial conditions and supporting contract negotiations for project and solution opportunities
  • Driving and managing distributor and system integrator engagement through industry activities to strengthen market presence
  • Securing specifications and winning complex, high-value projects by leading technical and commercial solution development, RFQs, pricing, and contract negotiations within approved boundaries

Meet your future team

Reporting to the Country Manager - APAC, you will join a close-knit team of five colleagues based at our Kuala Lumpur office. The team is responsible for driving sales and developing new business across SEA, working closely with end-customers, consultants, distributors and system integrators to position Kamstrup's solutions in the market. Grounded on strong mutual support and a flat structure, we foster a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere where teamwork, knowledge sharing, and real ownership are key to our success.

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager who is motivated by developing business opportunities and building strong customer relationships in a technical environment. You work in an independent and proactive manner which enable you to see and execute on growth opportunities in the market. Moreover, your structured approach allows you to keep an overview of complex sales processes while navigating both customer needs and internal processes simultaneously.

In order to succeed, we imagine that you:

  • Have 6+ years of experience within sales or pre-sales within utilities, water, infrastructure or software solutions industries
  • Bring proven experience with direct and distributor sales by strong negotiation capabilities and commercial insight
  • Are able to build and drive a distributor and partner ecosystem by setting strategy and actively managing and pushing partner performance
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills that enables you to engage stakeholders across technical and commercial levels
  • Think strategically and work in a structured way to build pipeline and results, taking initiative to create momentum across multiple markets

As we are an international organisation it is important that you are fluent in English and Bahasa, both written and spoken. Mandarin is considered an advantage.
