Job Summary
Global Remote Partners is seeking a
Senior Accountant (Mandarin Speaker) with solid accounting experience and knowledge of
Australian tax compliance to support our Australian clients. This role is ideal for professionals looking to expand their international experience in a collaborative Australian work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts for Australian clients.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare and review management reports and financial analyses.
- Handle Australian tax compliance, including BAS, GST, payroll tax, and corporate income tax requirements.
- Prepare working papers and supporting documentation for tax and audit purposes.
- Liaise with Australian clients to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Assist with process improvements and provide support on ad hoc finance projects.
- Requirements
- Malaysian citizen.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, ICAEW, or an equivalent accounting certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in Australian tax compliance (BAS, GST, payroll tax, etc.) is required.
- Experience handling full sets of accounts and financial reporting.
- Mandarin proficiency (spoken and written) is mandatory to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Xero or MYOB (preferred).
- Able to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
