Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. MFRS, IFRS) and tax regulations.
Supervise the team, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against budget and providing variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of SST, corporate income tax, and withholding tax filings.
Review and strengthen the internal controls and accounting policies.
Support finance system enhancements and process improvements.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other regulatory authorities.
Assist and handle any ad-hoc assignments when assigned by superior.
Stay up to date with the changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Candidate with audit experience and obtained professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA/MIA is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
