About your new role!

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our team at GrowthOps Asia. This person will report to our Senior Finance Manager and will closely collaborate with key leaders within the business, including the entire Group of Finance. You will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting and compliance activities within the Group.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will take responsibility in the following areas:

General Ledger & Reporting function

• Perform accounting transactions which includes posting journals, and maintain general ledgers in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g. revenue, accrued revenue and deferred revenue, expenses, payroll, fixed and intangible assets, intercompany transactions, etc.).
• Prepare month-end financial reports, including but not limited to profit or loss fluctuation analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of tax submissions and other government obligations
• Provide the management team and finance team with interpretation and analysis of financial reports.
• Communicating well within the team and making sure internal deadlines and reporting / planning expectations are met.
• Participate in financial year end audit (We are a June financial year-end group of companies)
• Support management by identifying improvement in simplifying workflow or process improvement.
• Participate in special projects that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor and required by the business.
• Support business and FPNA stakeholders with financial analysis.
• Opportunity to collaborate with business stakeholders for pitching exercise.

What we'd love to see from you:

• Degree in accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications: ACCA or CPA.
• At least 5 years of combined audit/financial accounting/tax experience/commercial GL & Reporting functions.
• Proficiency in Excel skills. Experience in using any ERP software is an advantage.
• Ability to meet deadlines with a logical, methodical approach to prioritising tasks and responsibilities.
• Possesses an analytical mindset, willing to identify issues within numbers and propose solutions.
• This role involves some fronting with business team. Some experience and being comfortable collaborating with non-finance team would be helpful in this role.
