About us

Advanced Accumulators Sdn Bhd provides IOT lithium and sodium starter batteries to commercial vehicle fleets in Southeast Asia, mainly on a subscription model. Its sister company, VXI Crest Sdn Bhd, runs VXI Connect, the telematics platform that monitors and performs over-the-air jumpstarts for every battery in the field. We are a small team growing across Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

The role

You will run finance for both companies, reporting directly to the CEO. The role covers day-to-day accounts through to monthly management reporting, and you will help build the finance processes as we scale.

What you'll do

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reports for both companies, with variance analysis and commentary
• Run monthly recurring billing for battery leases and platform fees, and follow up on collections
• Reconcile the leased-battery asset register between our fleet platform and the accounts each month
• Do product and contract costing, and check margins on leasing and outright sales
• Record transactions between the two companies and reconcile them each month
• Handle e-invoicing, SST, and reconciliations for banks, loans and payables
• Work with the external accountants, tax agents and auditors on year-end, tax and audit
• Produce ad hoc analysis for the CEO, such as cash flow forecasts, unit economics and pricing scenarios

What we're looking for

• A degree in Accounting or Finance. ACCA, CIMA or MIA, is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience, ideally including in-house work at a company that leases, rents or bills on subscription
• Working knowledge of MPERS/MFRS, including lease accounting (lessor side preferred)
• Hands-on experience with cloud accounting software and strong Excel skills
• Comfortable working independently in a small team and building processes from scratch
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage

• Salary of RM4,500 – RM7,000 per month, depending on experience
