Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Functioning as the lead of Accounts Department, supervising all accounting operations and supporting company-wide financial decisions.
• Prepared detailed management reports for directors, highlighting financial performance, variances, and recommendations
• Managed month-end and year-end closing processes for five companies, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Handled payroll administration, including compliance with EPF, SOCSO, LHDN, EIS, and HRD Corp requirements with zero errors
• Implemented effective credit control strategies, reducing overdue receivables and mitigating the risk of bad debts by 20%
• Performed bank reconciliations and maintained accurate cash flow records for monthly audits
• Oversaw accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions were recorded and processed efficiently
• Assisted with loan and facility documentation, preparing financial data and ensuring compliance with application requirements
• Monitored and tracked utility bills for the company and its tenants, ensuring prompt payments and accurate reporting
• Collaborated with external auditors during annual audits, addressing queries and providing necessary documentation
• Utilized Microsoft Excel for advanced financial reporting, variance analysis, and reconciliation tasks
• Reduced financial discrepancies by implementing stringent internal controls and audits to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

-Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

-Minimum 45 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a senior or executive role.

-Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and taxation.

-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

-Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with management.
