Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to support the finance and accounting operations of our public-listed EPCC business. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling full sets of accounts, ensuring timely month-end closing, and supporting audit and tax matters. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Manage full set of accounts, including GL, AR, AP, and fixed assets.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, account schedules, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
Project & Cost Accounting Support
- Assist in project accounting, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and margin reporting.
- Coordinate with project teams on progress billings, cost updates, and project profitability tracking.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Assist with the preparation of tax submissions (corporate tax, SST) and liaise with tax agents as required.
- Support statutory audit and liaise with external auditors by preparing required audit schedules.
- Ensure all financial reporting complies with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Cash Flow & Treasury Support
- Assist in cash flow monitoring and reporting.
- Support payment processing, bank reconciliations, and banking documentation.
Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Contribute to improving accounting processes and internal controls.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 46 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a public-listed or EPCC / construction company.
- Knowledge of project-based accounting is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. SQL, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Familiarity with MFRS and local tax/SST regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Mandarin is preferrable
