Overview
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Sr. Analyst Cost Accounting will report to the Senior Manager, Operational Accounting and primarily support our North America cost accounting activities. The role will also be involved in cost analysis and reporting as well as help develop and enhance standardized cost accounting processes.
This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations related to Inventory and Cost of Sales related to our North America region.
- Perform fluctuation analysis of financial results to help ensure accurate reporting
- Produce monthly financial reporting package related to cost accounting and distribute amongst regional controllership team
- Assist in the development and streamlining of standardized processes based on automation and leveraging of our data warehouse business intelligence applications
- Assist with US GAAP technical accounting research
- Support requests from regional teams, auditors, compliance, and tax departments
Qualifications
Skills:
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, including building of complex financial models
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Ability to lead a team of diverse individuals
- Ability to effectively communicate issues and suggest solutions
- Proficiency with Oracle is an advantage
- Experience with VBA and Excel macros is an advantage
Languages:
- Proficiency in English: candidate must be able to clearly write and speak in English to be successful in this position
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis with public companies
- Experience in US GAAP
- Professional experience within cost accounting and/or manufacturing environment is preferred
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in a financial-related discipline
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Public Accountant degree or equivalent degree
