Your new role
- Collaborate with executives and managers to develop the long-range business plan, annual business plan, and strategic goals for the Company.
- Assist in long-range budgeting, annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate proposed capital investments and strategic initiatives.
- Actively maintain, analyse, and improve the Company's business and financial models.
- Monitor key market and emerging trends, perform analytical review, business research and competitor benchmarking to support strategic planning process.
- Create insights from analysing, interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
- Interact with data owners to source, define, and access data that can be used for reporting and analysis where actual expenditure vs forecast/ budget.
- Liaise and cooperate with stakeholders to ensure the integration of data and reporting necessary to provide the business with 360 views of activities to facilitate stronger business decision-making to improve profitability or increase enterprise value.
- Review the reliability and accuracy of data assumptions and ensure data requirements are provided in accordance with the pre-agreed timeline.
- Carryout periodic competitor analysis on similar products and services.
- Formulating pricing strategy for new products/ services.
- Preparation of commercial / partnership models/terms.
- Analyse financial returns of the commercial / partnership models.
- Develop pricing / commercial templates to be used across the group of companies.
- Work with the sales team to define pricing structure for products/ services.
- Support commercial negotiations with customers/ partners.
- Governing commercial and pricing frameworks across the group
- Undertake assignments as assigned by the Head, Business Planning and Reporting and senior management team as and when required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Telecommunication Engineering, Actuarial Science, or similar field.
- More than 3 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate planning, corporate finance, pricing / commercials or strategy related position.
- Competency in MS Office. Intermediate to advance level proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Well-versed with complex financial modelling using excel and able to build compelling PowerPoint slides that uses data to tell a cohesive story.
- Thorough understanding of budgeting and forecasting strategies and techniques.
- Professional qualification is an advantage (i.e., CFA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CPA).
- A self-starter and a team player with ability to multitask.
- Meticulous, fast learner and able to work efficiently and effectively to meet required deadlines
