About the Role:
- Your main responsibility revolves around application support for one of the most critical applications across the entire business unit
- Identify root causes of failures and come up with remediative actions
- Troubleshooting, coordination, and ensuring issues are escalated and tended to are of the utmost importance.
- Monitoring EOD batches, dashboard, and generally ensuring applications are in good state
- Develop and apply scripts on areas where applicable using any scripting language
Ensure proper documentation always in order to drive better quality and stability over time
Expectations:
- At the very minimum, 3 years of experience, ideally 5 to 7 years working with Linux, SQL, and Oracle
- Mandatory to have skillsets in Control M and batch monitoring experience as well
- Communications will be crucial too, ability to coordinate, escalate, and most importantly sense of urgency, you will be required to communicate with counterparts from other countries.
- To emphasize, this role is not a typical support role but a role where you are expected to really coordinate and communicate well to ensure all issues are resolved, hence, being able to work well with counterparts from diverse
