Job Summary:
Photobook Worldwide is seeking a Senior Art Director who will be responsible for managing all design projects from concept to delivery. You'll collaborate with our Marketing teams to build and launch marketing campaigns that promote products and design relevant works about our in-house brands. This position requires ideation and specialized knowledge of graphic design techniques and layouts.
Your other responsibilities include leading the Junior Graphic Designers in ideation and working closely with them to develop an efficient communication to market our products. You're expected to demonstrate an ability to keep the team working within deadlines.This position reports to the Creative Director.
Responsibilities:
Designing & Coaching
- Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing strategies and business needs.
- Able to ideate fresh, exciting concepts & execute ideas.
- Support the Creative Director in creating marketing campaigns.
- Managing graphic designs from conception to delivery.
- Ensuring brand consistency throughout various marketing projects.
- Leads the creative development and execution of individual projects both digital and occasionally print design.
- Lead the junior creative team members for ideation to execution.
- Takes ownership, leads and manages/directs initiatives and successfully executes through all stages of creative development on target, on time and on budget.
- Have a thorough understanding of design, photography, typography and digital.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Partner with copywriters on a variety of deliverables: websites, app ads, landing pages, email, social, paid media ads, YouTube.
- Manage a high-volume, fluid workload to accommodate shifting priorities of the business, communicating regularly with teammates and internal stakeholders to maintain schedules.
- Sharp attention to detail.
Administrative & Others
- Undertake other important duties and entrusted responsibilities that may arise due to the contingencies of work.
- To attend to any related matters assigned by the Creative Director
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design/Multimedia/Advertising or equivalent.
- 5 - 9 years of experience in lead designer roles or previous senior designer experience.
- Have excellent knowledge of computer image manipulation and drawing software, e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
- Have effective communication skills to work across different functional groups.
- Able to lead and guide a team of juniors.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in an agency and client environment would be an advantage.
