Job Description
As an Associate Engineer in the Advanced Solutions Mechanical Engineering team, you will assemble electro mechanical modules for engineering prototypes and low volume production builds using schematics and work instructions. You will support concept validation, confirm component quality, perform rework when needed, and document build and test procedures.
This role also includes troubleshooting issues to keep development on track, and managing lab tools, materials, and build inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and electrical modules according to engineering specifications.
- Conduct concept validation, perform functional tests, and document results.
- Perform rework, repairs, and adjustments to resolve technical issues.
- Manage raw material inventory, including receiving, storage and distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized lab environment and ensure tools are calibrated and ready for use.
- Follow all safety protocols and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and equipment responsibly.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 6 years of experience.
- Experience/familiarity with mechanical 3D CAD and data management (Bills of Material, part databases etc.)
- Hands-on experience in module assembly and testing.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and rework processes.
- Ability to use power tools, measurement instruments, and calibration equipment competently.
- Practical experience with wire harnessing, crimping, routing is a plus.
