Job Purpose
This role is responsible for assisting in the handling of reported cases, particularly those received through various reporting channels, by conducting thorough and objective investigations in alignment with Prasaranas internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. The Investigator (Team Member) will work closely with the Head of Section (Team Lead) to ensure timely and effective resolution of cases across all levels of the organisation.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist the Head of Section and contribute to initiatives aimed at strengthening investigative functions and addressing investigation-related matters across the organisation.
- Support the planning and implementation of investigation enhancement initiatives under the direction of the Group Internal Audit Division.
- Conduct assigned investigations and independent reviews to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations within Prasarana group entities.
- Participate in the assessment of investigation-related programs, including conducting pre- and post-assessments, compiling statistics, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support the review and evaluation of initiatives aimed at continuous improvement within the investigation function and the wider organisation.
- Assist in organising and attending meetings with relevant business units, management, and stakeholders to support ongoing investigations and audit-related activities.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports for internal use and for submission to the Head of Section, Head of Department, or higher authority as required.
- Participate in independent reviews of operational areas to support risk, governance, and compliance evaluations, under the guidance of senior investigators or team leads.
- Conduct investigations based on a risk-based approach, documenting findings, identifying weaknesses in processes, and proposing preliminary recommendations.
- Assist in verifying and analysing whistleblower reports and other ad hoc cases referred to the Investigation Department.
- Carry out end-to-end handling of assigned investigation cases, especially those received through informal or non-standard reporting channels, in coordination with the team lead.
- Collaborate effectively within the investigation team to ensure fair, objective, and timely handling of reported cases in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Review and maintain investigative records, reports, interview notes, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide timely updates to the Head of Section regarding the progress of investigation cases and follow up on required actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare draft investigation findings and summaries to support the final report preparation by the Head of Section or Head of Department.
- Participate in fieldwork activities, including evidence collection, complaint verification, and surveillance, as required during the course of investigations.
- Ensure that all intelligence and case information is handled with the utmost confidentiality and sensitivity, in line with internal protocols and ethical standards.
- Support the ethical collection and handling of intelligence, in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and codes of practice, to contribute to the prevention of fraud, misconduct, and other irregularities.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Section or Head of Department, consistent with the scope and objectives of the Investigation Department.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
- Minimum bachelor&aposs degree in any related field.
- Minimum 3 years of working experiece.
- Knowledge of relevant Acts (Whistleblower, Industrial Relations, Penal Code & MACC Act) Good knowledge of the companys policies and procedures, MS ISO Management Systems.
