About the Role
The SeniorAssociate Manager, Warehouse oversees daily warehouse operations, optimizing inventory, workflows, team performance and ensuring seamless logistics, safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory and space management, floor productivity, order fulfilment, logistics and shipping.
- Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors, downtime, and costs.
- To support new site setup and provide subject matter expertise in warehouse operations whenever required
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards (OSHA, GMP) in warehouse operations.
- Develop and deploy cGMP procedures and provide logistics expertise.
- Oversee employee safety training, emergency preparedness, and ongoing safety audits relevant to the pharmaceutical guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for warehouse operations, ensuring minimal disruption during emergencies or system failures.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including regular stock counts, reconciliations, and identifying discrepancies.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and customer service to optimize inventory levels, reduce stockouts, and minimize excess inventory.
- Generate reports and statistics related to warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.).
- Prepare and manage the warehouse operations budget, including costs related to staffing, supplies, and facility maintenance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in warehouse operations and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency without compromising service quality.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships, ensuring quality service and contract compliance.
- Negotiate agreements, monitor performance, address issues, and oversee warehouse equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure timely repairs.
About you
- A Degree or equivalent professional qualifications in the field of Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration and etc.
- Related experience from Pharma, FMCG, and Healthcare industries with 5 - 7 years of leadership or supervisory experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management functions preferably in cGMP and GDP environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated strong coordination and collaboration skills through effective teamwork and clear communication.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and cost management mindset.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
- Strong intrapreneurial skills and mindset from start up to established organization
- Versatile and resilient, ability to stay positive in high-pressure and ambiguous environments and work towards delivering results
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in using SAP, inventory management systems (e.g. Extended Warehouse Management (EWM); Warehouse Management System (WMS)), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and/or warehouse automation tools
- License to operate a forklift is advantageous
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and physical demands
