Job Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible to conduct comprehensive analysis of companies and provide actionable insights and investment recommendations to the fund managers with the primary objective of achieving the targeted return.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Equity Research
- Conduct thorough research on companies including analysing financial statements, annual reports and industry specific data for an informed investment decision.
- Generate investment reports, provide sector/stocks recommendations and communicate investment insights to fund managers and internal stakeholders.
2. Stakeholders Engagement
- Periodically meet with company management and attend investor conferences to build relationships and deepen understanding of financial markets.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the external counterparts, staying updated on industry trends, economic indicators and market conditions affecting specific sectors and stocks.
3. Risk Management
- Stay vigilant on daily financial market trends and consistently provide insightful market updates during investment meetings to ensure the investment team remains well-informed and proactive in response to dynamic market conditions.
4. Performance Analysis
- Evaluate the performance of stock prices against target prices.
- Conduct in-depth performance analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend adjustments to enhance overall portfolio returns.
5. To undertake any additional assignment as instructed by LTAT.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
- A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder or advanced Degree (MBA) would be an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in investment analysis and research roles, including experience in assisting in the management of equity portfolio.
