We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Associate, Tax Compliance & Advisory based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers great coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our business and its growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage tax compliance engagements and ensure all statutory, internal, and client deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and review tax computations, returns, and supporting documents, and proactively resolve client queries to complete engagements efficiently.
  • Coordinate closely with clients on tax organisers, signed forms, and post-filing matters including tax credits, refunds, and set-offs.
  • Identify technical or engagement issues early and discuss practical solutions with Seniors, Managers, or Directors.
  • Address and clear tax review points thoroughly, ensuring proper documentation and audit trail are maintained.
  • Monitor filing requirements such as CP204/CP204A and manage client communications on original or revised tax estimates.
  • Support and contribute to tax advisory engagements, including drafting proposals, conducting research, and preparing advisory deliverables.
  • Participate in Transfer Pricing assignments and assist in delivering quality outputs within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client trackers, tax files, and engagement documentation in accordance with firm standards.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for clients, ensuring timely communication and keeping engagement teams fully informed of all client matters.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CIA) or equivalent.
  • At least 3-4 years experience in tax roles especially in client facing environment
  • Have a good understanding and knowledge of taxation principles.

  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge on MS Office and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Has attention to details.
  • Good time management and is a deadline drive person
