Job Responsibilities:
1) To support the direct and indirect tax compliance function for TNGD Group of Companies:-
Corporate tax:
- Ensure timely submission of annual tax return and tax estimates to LHDN;
- Work closely with finance team to complete the tax schedules provided by tax agent, addressing tax queries and review the draft tax pack prior to submission to LHDN;
- Ensure adequacy of estimated tax payable is filed with LHDN based on financial forecast;
- Compute the provisional tax computation for tax estimation (initial and 6/9/11th month revision) and quarterly financial reporting purpose.
Service tax and Withholding tax
- Prepare and submit the service tax & withholding tax return promptly;
- Work closely with relevant business units and legal department to review and advise on the tax implication of new business arrangements;
Transfer pricing
- Work closely with TP consultant to ensure timely preparation of Transfer Pricing Documentation annually.
Tax audit
- Act as primary liaison person with LHDN for tax audit request and manage the tax audit process effectively.
2) Keep abreast with the latest tax development and identify the potential tax implication to the Group;
3) Take on ad-hoc assignments to support the tax planning function as and when the Group is expanding;
4) Implement effective recordkeeping systems to maintain comprehensive and accurate information for analysis and decision-making when required.
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or professional qualification (ICAEW/ACCA) or equivalent.
- At least 3-4 years working experience in tax related works both in tax compliance and tax advisory/planning. Experience in Group Tax functions will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with strong technical knowledge of the Malaysian Tax laws is preferred.
- Possess strong communication skills, and tax problem solving skills with various tax agencies.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently with good working attitude, initiative and an effective team player.
