Job Purpose
Responsible for the development and implementation of effective competency training programs for Operation Control Centre (OCC) personnel across the entire rail network, including the LRT Ampang Line, LRT Kelana Jaya Line, Monorail Line, MRT Kajang Line, MRT Putrajaya Line and LRT Shah ALam Line. Continuously assess training needs and ensure OCC personnel receive the necessary training to maintain their competence and enhance the Rail workforce's capability in operating and maintaining Rail assets.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct and facilitate training program for Operation Control Centre workforce to disseminate knowledge on the operations and maintenance of Rail assets with the objective to develop qualified, skilled and competent Rail workforce. Evaluate on the trainee performance and knowledge acquirement at the end of training session and produce student evaluation report for their superior information as well as to review course evaluation remarks (after every programme) for improvements in terms of content and deliverables.
- Gather and analyse relevant rail information for the development of new rail training modules for Operation Control Centre taking into consideration of new rail systems and subsystems requirements, as well as to meet competency assessment and certification requirements. Review the existing technical documents, procedures and training modules on rail systems and subsystems to ensure its relevancy in relation to current systems and subsystems, new technology to meet rail operations and maintenance requirements. Ensure equipment and practical areas are well organised and maintained to enable the training is conducted effectively.
- Perform training needs analysis exercise via interviewing Operation Control Centre workforce to determine their training requirements and competency gaps. Summarize the findings to be used for the development of training plan and modules for Operation Control Centre workforce.
- Conduct training session for Rail workforce to be certified with Malaysia Skill Certificate (SKM) via Sistem Latihan Dual National (SLDN) and Pengiktirafan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPT) programme. Design and develop the existing training modules to ensure it meets the standard format set by the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran using National Occupational Skill Standard (NOSS) document as reference.
- Conduct studies on other rail training modules and teaching methodology for industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain good relationship within relevant department in the respective line and external training providers to facilitate efficient rail training programs.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
Minimum Diploma in any related field.
Minimum five years working experience in learning environment.
Rail Operations and Maintenance knowledge.
