Role Description

Firm is planning to set up an office in Shah Alam central to cater for the growing needs of clients in Shah Alam, mostly in the areas of renewable energy, projects, infrastructure, M&A, corporate real estate and litigation. We are looking to hire 3 senior associates who would be potential partners of the Firm, in our quest for greater expansion. So you need to have at least more than 6 years of experience in respected law firms, ambitious, with very good or oustanding academic accomplishment, and superb interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time, on-site role for Senior Associates/Associate Partners based in Shah Alam. The role involves providing strategic legal counsel, drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing client relationships, and representing clients in complex coprorate project real estate and litigation matters. The successful candidates will collaborate with other teams on cross-practice matters, guide junior legal professionals, and ensure compliance with local and international laws. The position also requires active participation in business development initiatives to expand the firm's client base and expertise.

Qualifications

  • Legal Expertise: Possess strong skills in corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, contract drafting, and legal advisory.
  • Analytical and Research Skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research, case analysis, and provide innovative solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including preparing legal opinions and negotiations.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Experience mentoring junior team members and working effectively within a team environment.
  • Business Development: Proficiency in client relationship management and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Qualifications: A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution; admission to the Malaysian Bar and a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate legal practice.
  • Additional Assets: Familiarity with international legal practices, fluency in multiple languages, and a strong understanding of local regulations and frameworks.
