About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate - Audit to join our Audit & Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and leading audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

You will have the opportunity to lead small and medium-sized audit engagements while assisting Audit Managers and Directors on larger and more complex assignments. Key Responsibilities

Audit Engagements

• Execute statutory audits, financial statement audits, and other assurance engagements in accordance with applicable auditing standards.
• Participate in the planning, execution, completion, and reporting stages of audit assignments.
• Identify audit risks and perform risk assessment procedures.
• Evaluate and test internal controls, accounting systems, and business processes.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive audit working papers and documentation.
• Review financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Identify audit findings and provide practical recommendations for process improvements.

Leadership & Team Supervision

• Lead small and medium-sized audit engagements and supervise junior audit team members.
• Allocate work assignments and monitor engagement progress.
• Review the quality and accuracy of work completed by associates.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to junior staff.
• Assist in developing team capabilities and promoting a collaborative working environment.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients across various industries.
• Liaise with client personnel to obtain audit information and supporting documentation.
• Communicate audit issues, findings, and recommendations effectively.
• Ensure excellent client service and timely response to client queries.

Compliance & Quality Control

• Ensure audit engagements are completed in accordance with firm methodologies, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and business data.
• Stay current with changes in accounting standards, auditing practices, and industry developments.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or any related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Candidates currently pursuing a recognized professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant audit experience, preferably within a professional services, public accounting, or audit environment.
• Experience handling end-to-end audit engagements is preferred.
• Exposure to diversified industries and listed-company audits will be an added advantage.

Technical Competencies

• Strong understanding of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with audit software and accounting systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
