Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Automation Test Engineer, located in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Senior Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts and test cases. They will also conduct functional testing, analyze test results, and report defects. The position involves close collaboration with the software development team to ensure high-quality software releases.

Qualifications

Design/develop/maintain automation framework for Web/Mobile/API

Develop and execute automated test scripts for requirement validation and regression.

Create and maintain a reusable and configurable set of automated tests.

Identification and creation of reusable test data, particularly for automated testing.

Participate in test strategy, test estimation, and planning discussions.

Document test results and assist with defect management.

Produce status reports related to the testing process, including test results and defect tracking.

Complete functional/regression test cycles within defined timeline to meet release deliverables.

Review and maintain project documentation.

Assist with technical artifacts (such as use cases and system specifications) and engage in technical discussions.

Proactively review the use of testing software and other available solutions and provide suggestions for continuous improvement based on best practice.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Supporting multiple testing efforts simultaneously.

Assist with team training as needed.

Requirement

Bachelor's degree with a preferred focus in Computer Science or similar experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance tester with a focus on automation.

Excellent experience with automation toolsets such as MF UFT, MF Mobile, Tosca, Selenium, and Appium.

Strong programming background (Java, VBScript, C).

Experience using testing frameworks such as MF UFT, MF Mobile Center, Selenium, and Appium.

Experience developing and executing automated test scripts on different applications like Windows, GUI applications, web, web service, and mobile.

Experience with change management and defect tracking tools.

Experience in creating SQL scripts.

Experience in Performance testing will be an advantage

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be a team player as well as able to work independently

Able to mentor the junior members of the team.

Experience in managing automation test projects.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and come up with solutions to meet project needs

Client-facing with strong written and verbal communication.
