Senior Business Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experiencedSenior Business Analystto act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. In this role, you will drive the successful implementation of enterprise application changes—from initial requirements gathering through to production deployment and post-implementation support. You will ensure that system enhancements are delivered on time, meet business objectives, and maintain operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements & Functional Design:Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements; translate these into detailed specifications for development teams.

• Change & Release Management:Oversee the application change lifecycle, including impact assessments, change documentation, deployment coordination, and production go-live support.

• Testing & Quality Assurance:Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that solutions align with business needs and quality standards.

• Application Support:Provide Level 2 (L2) application support, driving timely issue analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution coordination with technical teams.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:Serve as the primary liaison between business users, project teams, and IT, ensuring transparent communication and alignment throughout project phases.

• Governance & Reporting:Monitor change requests throughout their lifecycle and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

• Documentation & Training:Develop user guides, process documentation, and training materials to facilitate smooth adoption of system changes.

• Travel:Be available for occasional domestic travel during critical go-live and implementation periods.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Education:Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience:5–8 years of overall professional experience, with aminimum of 3 yearsin Business Analysis and Application Change Management.

• Technical Acumen:Proven track record in gathering functional requirements and writing detailed functional specifications.

• Process Knowledge:Strong understanding of change management methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• UAT Expertise:Hands-on experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing with business users.

• Soft Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate across all organizational levels.

• Language:Proficient in bothEnglishandBahasa Malaysia.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience providing Level 2 (L2) application support in a critical production environment.

• Prior background within theEnergy, Oil & Gasindustry.

• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).

• Experience supporting enterprise-level, business-critical applications.

• Proven experience managing application deployments and post-implementation stabilization.
