Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing revenue-generating partnerships and commercial opportunities that support the brand's growth as a premium wellness destination. Working closely with senior leadership, this role builds and manages a pipeline of hospitality, spa, retail, and corporate wellness partnerships, develops well-researched business cases, and drives deals from initial outreach through to execution.
Job Responsibility
- Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities: service line extensions, licensing, franchise/management agreements, wholesale/retail products, digital/membership offerings and prepare business cases for leadership review
- Build and manage a partnership pipeline (hospitality groups, luxury resorts, airlines, corporate wellness, retail, spa/beauty brands) that expands reach and reinforces brand equity
- Develop and own the annual business development strategy and revenue targets, in collaboration with the CEO.
- Negotiate and structure commercial agreements (JVs, licensing, co-branded launches) with legal and finance.
- Conduct market analysis to identify white-space opportunities across geographies and service categories
- Represent Como Shambhala at industry events, forming relationships with prospective partners and investors
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Spa/Wellness Programming to ensure new initiatives are commercially and operationally viable
- Track and report pipeline, deal performance, and ROI to the executive team and board
Job Requirement
- More than 5 years in business development, partnerships, or commercial strategy roles, ideally in hospitality, wellness, luxury lifestyle, or beauty sectors
- Proven track record closing partnership/licensing deals and driving revenue growth
- Strong network across hospitality, wellness, and luxury retail
- Strong negotiation, financial modeling, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on deal-execution levels
- Willingness to travel internationally
