Ansell is looking for a Sr Specialist Business Developement to join our team in Cyberjaya!

In this position you will play a vital role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in regional markets within the Ansell hand and body protection portfolio.

You will fosters relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors and end users, and drives strategic initiatives to support global growth objectives through both direct and indirect sales models.

What your role will be

  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities in targeted international markets.
  • Distributor Relationship Management: Develop relationships with distributors in various regions to enhance market penetration and support sales efforts in countries where relationships do not currently exist.
  • End User Engagement: Collaborate directly with end users to understand their needs, provide product solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions as necessary. Identify tenders and buying cycles in advance and ensure Ansell solutions are specified where possible.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue leads through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach to drive new business, particularly in sectors requiring chemical protection. Attend Ansell trade shows
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to meet the needs of potential clients, distributors, and end users in target markets.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Ansell clothing products and their applications to effectively communicate benefits and features to clients and partners. Responsible for training distributors and end users on all new product development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including local sales, marketing and product management, to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives within the region.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on business development metrics and key performance indicators specific to the chemical protective clothing sector to assess effectiveness and make informed adjustments to strategies.
  • Cultural Adaptability: Understand and navigate cultural differences to effectively communicate and negotiate with international clients, distributors, and end users.

What will you bring to Ansell

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with a focus on protective clothing or safety equipment.
  • Proven record in creating new business in specialist markets to create outstanding value propositions for highly regulated solutions.
  • Strong Business Acumen and demonstrated financial and systems knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability in driving customer development through strategic approaches
  • Demonstrated abilities to thrive within a matrix environment with proven abilities obtain and leverage resources from multiple departments and coordinating them in an organized manner to effectively service customer needs and grow business
  • A sound understanding of the Channel Development and direct sales models
  • Proficiency in English required, other languages a plus
  • This role may require up to 25% travel
