Overview
Hong Leong Assurance is embarking on a multi‑year Core Modernization program to transition from legacy platforms to a modern, scalable, API‑driven core system. This initiative encompasses end‑to‑end process re‑engineering, comprehensive fit‑gap analysis, data migration, integration with enterprise systems, and a phased rollout to business users.
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Systems Analyst to lead complex analysis initiatives and act as a liaison between business units and IT. You will play a key role in shaping system solutions and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and documentation of complex business processes and systems.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to define requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and project managers to ensure successful delivery.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices.
- Conduct impact analysis and support change management efforts.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend system improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 -10 years of experience in business systems analysis, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience with insurance back‑office processing functionality (e.g., New Business, Policy Servicing, Claims, Compensation) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage to support effective communication with the software provider.
- Experience in data analysis, SQL, and enterprise systems is an advantage.
