Senior Commercial Finance Manager

About the Role

This is a lead role to drive the commercial finance function within a renowned FMCG brand. The commercial finance Senior Manager will be the strategic partner to build profitable growth, shape commercial strategies and provide actionable financial insights to stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead annual strategic planning, long-term operational forecasting and capital allocation.
• Partner with commercial teams on pricing, promotions, trade spending and key business decisions through financial analysis.
• Modernize finance processes, structures and systems to improve agility and scalability.
• Lead and develop the finance team while promoting cross-functional collaboration and financial competency.
• Drive the accuracy and timeliness of budgets, rolling estimates and overall business P&L.
• Develop and monitor financial KPIs to ensure margin and pricing targets are achieved and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Provide financial input into planning and monthly business meetings to support financial health and profitable growth.
• Analyze FMCG market dynamics, competitor strategies, pricing, merchandising and retail activities.
• Lead ROI analysis for Customer Business Plans and ensure investments support brand and business objectives.
• Participate in Joint Business Planning sessions as the primary finance advisor.
• Translate complex financial and external market data into clear, actionable insights for management and commercial teams.
• Build strong collaboration between Finance and Customer Development teams and maintain regular engagement with retailers and regional stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, with commercial finance experience in FMCG, consumer goods, retail or a related industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial finance, including pricing, margins, promotions, trade investment and ROI analysis.
• Strong knowledge of CBP, Excel, SAP and AI.
• Excellent spoken and written English with strong computer literacy.
• Strong leadership skills with the confidence to challenge commercial teams and raise potential risks.
• Strategic thinker with a strong focus on results.
• Strong planning, organization and change management capabilities.
• Proven ability to train, mentor and motivate teams.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Effective time management with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
