The Senior Consultant has overall architecture ownership and governance for all solutions within a particular customer environment, including holistic capacity and availability management across the customer infrastructure. The Senior Consultant will own life-cycle management and technology road-map planning with a focus on solution innovation. The Senior Consultant will interface to senior-level customer stakeholders in providing advice. In addition, the Senior Consultant provides high-level input, oversight, and quality assurance for all consulting services including assessment, design, and implementation of solution sets. Leads and owns technical design in implementation of technical solutions. Ensures quality technical solutions and drives towards the highest levels of customer satisfaction and improvement in professional standards. Additionally, the Senior Consultant contributes to advisory consulting services potentially relating to a range of digital services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain overall architecture ownership and governance for all solutions within a particular customer environment.
- Ensure life-cycle management and technology road-map planning with a focus on solution innovation.
- Assess feasibility, identify and clarify technical, delivery, and operational risks for proposed new technologies and services.
- Provide governance and quality assurance for the delivery of all technical services.
- Lead and deliver consulting services when required, including development of High Level Designs, Low Level Designs, Site Migration Plans, and communication and liaison with other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
- Ensure best practice is leveraged in providing the solutions and services to target accounts.
- Establish structure and contribute material for knowledge management so that we become a learning organisation ensuring success is replicated and mistakes are not repeated.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise providing support to customers, transferring customers requirements into a solution. Owns quality assurance for all low-level technical design from concept to subsequent implementation; and when required, responsible for design, configuration, testing and commissioning of solutions.
- Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge of products, solutions, and services. Use this knowledge to ensure that all proposed designs are commercially and technically viable solutions for the customer.
- Responsible for governance and oversight, ensuring technical management of deployment issues and problems. Note and ensure escalation within product teams, service developments required to meet customer needs.
- Ensure adoption of Professional Services (PS) processes, methods and tools throughout Australasia.
- Identify and create business opportunities for target customers and prospects.
- When required, participate in the tendering process and development of proposals in line with customer needs, liaising and qualifying with other colleagues as necessary. Present technical solutions to customers both formally and informally as required. Supports in the development of customer SLAs.
- Stay abreast of technical issues, options and advancements within the internetworking industry relevant to the portfolio.
- Provide a consistently high-quality technical service to target customers ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained or improved.
- Ability to liaise with customers unaccompanied and be a recognized authority on products and services.
- Provision of skilled presentations to prospective customers on the technical solutions and services offered with minimum support.
- Responsibility for all aspects of the technical compatibility of customer requirements with the products and services offered.

Education, Qualifications, and Certifications
- Engineering Degree or similar in relevant technical field
- Vendors certifications (e.g. Juniper, Z-Scaler, Cisco)
- Consulting practitioner (such as TOGAF or similar)
Experience
- Minimum of 15+ years related work experience in customer-facing organisations within the telecom or IT industry or equivalent.
