Basic Purpose / Accountabilities:
He/she is responsible for the arrangement of timely movement (24/7 basis during offshore drilling operations), proper storage of all drilling & completion materials/equipment, and to manage transportation of drilling wastes. It is intended for the position to execute logistics arrangement of project without HSE incidents or delays. Drilling & completion materials/equipment includes not only Company assets, but also service companies materials, rental equipment, and consumables. It is crucial for incumbent to have effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Functions/Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain communication with Drilling Superintendent, Drilling Supervisors, Labuan supply base team and Materials & Logistic Coordinator regarding planning of daily material requisition and vessel movement, based on operations look ahead
- Collaborate with Drilling Supervisor to plan movement of material and equipment for each hole section prior, during & after drilling.
- Create Material Requisition for bulks and materials requested to the rig. Ensure timely notification of material load out requests for loading onto supply vessel at shore base.
- Responsible to verify materials received and/or returned is as according to load list and timely highlight any exclusions to the appropriate party. Maintain on-site inventory of equipment, materials and bulk, for both companies owned, and rental. Ensure accurate tracking and records of drilling material and equipment at site.
- Liaise with shore logistic departments & vendors to ensure delivery of materials / bulk to rig is on schedule.
- Liaise with Senior Drilling Supervisor, Mud Engineer & Barge Engineer regarding requirements for mud, chemicals, brine, barite, etc.
- Prepare all necessary documentations; backload cargo manifest, consignment of goods (COG), for cargo backload to shore base including customs requirements, Dangerous Goods Declarations, and scheduled waste according to regulations
- Ensure all scheduled waste from rig is inventoried and documented, and maintained and that storage areas conform to DOE standard requirements
- Support onshore logistics team with coordination of supply vessels to avoid any delay impact to campaign schedule.
- Manage and prepare all required logistics forms / documentation i.e. Material Requisition, Received, Back Load, Loading, Manning report & Store Inventory.
- Manage time sheets and helicopter / FCB booking for crew.
- Conduct post-project materials reconciliations to ensure physical records match system records and that surplus materials are properly stored for further disposition
HSE Roles:
- Comply with HSE policies, Life Saving Rules, procedures, goals, and programs within the MBU HSE Management System.
- Actively engage in and contribute to HSE communication and consultation processes.
- Actively participate in HSE initiatives and programs that include but not limited to, Safety Observations and HSE Trainings.
- Support company sustainability development (SD) initiatives and other environmental policies and practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM
- Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics / Drilling Materials Management, including 5 years as Offshore Rig Material Coordinator supporting drilling operations for oil & gas operator.
- Knowledgeable user of Microsoft Office suite.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and necessary hours to accomplish tasks.
- Organized and able to prioritize work. Self- directed with able to multitask and coordinate with onshore contractor teams.
- Able to lead and direct the work of third party / contractors as required to support operations.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
