As a Senior Accountant, you support the manufacturing site by managing standard costing, inventory valuation, cost analysis, and costing closing activities. The role ensures financial compliance, leads month-end close, and delivers insights that improve cost control, operational efficiency, and overall profitability.
You Will Make an Impact By:
1.Cost Accounting & Standard Costing
- Oversee daily cost accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cost accounting matters across departments.
- Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Ensure all costing processes comply with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
2.Month-End Close & Reporting
- Lead month-end close activities, including cost allocations, inventory valuation, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare variance analyses (actual vs. standard vs. budget) and highlight key cost drivers impacting performance.
- Support additional reporting requirements for month-end, quarterly and yearly close.
3.Inventory & Cost Analysis
- Manage product costing and inventory-related analysis to support business and operational decisions.
- Coordinate annual physical inventory counts and ensure proper valuation and documentation.
- Maintain complete documentation and audit trails for all costing activities.
4.Budgeting, Forecasting & Controls
- Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor actual performance against targets and explain variances.
- Identify compliance issues or control weaknesses and propose improvements.
5.Audits, Special Projects and Ad hoc
- Prepare cost-related schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits.
- Support accounting tasks as needed and participate in special projects such as system upgrades, e-invoicing implementation, and UAT testing.
- Undertake ad-hoc assignment as and when required.
Skills You Bring:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of costing experience.
- Experience with Oracle EBS (Costing Module) highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, product costing, and manufacturing finance.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience handling complex financial data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
