Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with a strong background in the health insurance domain. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics to provide actionable insights, optimize processes, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze large, complex datasets from claims, policy, and member data to identify trends and opportunities.

Design and implement advanced statistical models and predictive analytics for risk assessment and cost optimization.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, ICD codes etc.).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuarial, underwriting, and IT to deliver data-driven solutions.

Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, actionable manner.

Ensure accurate mapping and transformation of diagnosis and procedure codes in claims and policy data.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

7+ years of experience in data analysis, with at least 3 years in health insurance or healthcare.

Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Java/Javascript.

Deep understanding of health insurance processes (claims, underwriting, policy management).

Strong understanding of ICD coding standards and their impact on claims, billing, and reporting is a plus.

Experience with data migration and validation during ICD upgrades is a plus

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
