Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading and guiding a team of data engineers and analysts in delivering data-driven solutions. This role involves data architecture design, business requirement analysis, and dashboard/report development, ensuring that business users receive actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Involves leading and guiding a team of data engineers and analyst as part of a project.
- Involve in designing data architecture (e.g. Data Warehouse, Data Lake) and ETL pipelines.
- Involve analyzing the business requirements with users, transform the business requirements into dashboard/report design specification document.
- Analyze the Business rule with users, transform the Business rules into Mapping and functional specification document.
- Design and Implement dashboards/reports according to requirements, providing necessary advisory to business users.
- Implement and lead/guide a team in the following tasks as part of a project:
oDevelopment of ETL pipelines and dashboard/reports.
oWrite clear and concise documentation, including business logic implemented per required transformations.
oTroubleshoot and resolve issues with users on the implemented solution.
oEnforce and adhere to defined processes and procedures, best practices and standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in SQL language.
- Proficiency in database structures, theories, principles and practices in particular with data warehouse design.
- Proficiency in either one of the prominent data visualisation tool: Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, Qlik.
- Open for Malaysian citizen only.
Skills & Competencies:
- Preferably with knowledge of Talend ETL tool.
- Preferably with knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Hive & Hue and etc.
- Good to have: Python, knowledge about Data APIs, Unstructured Data and Hadoop Ecosystem.
