We are looking for an accomplished Senior Data Analyst to join a dynamic project team in Malaysia. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex business challenges, applying advanced analytics, and driving data-driven strategies within the healthcare and insurance domain.
Responsibilities:
- Work with large and diverse datasets (claims, policy, membership) to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build and deploy predictive models and statistical analyses to improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Safeguard accuracy, consistency, and compliance with healthcare data standards and regulations.
- Partner closely with colleagues across actuarial, underwriting, technology, and operations to deliver impactful insights.
- Translate analytical outcomes into clear recommendations for senior management.
- Manage mapping, validation, and transformation of medical diagnosis and procedure codes in line with evolving requirements.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, with 3+ years in healthcare or insurance.
- Expertise in SQL and proficiency with analytical programming languages such as Python or Java/JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of insurance processes including claims, underwriting, and policy operations.
- Familiarity with ICD coding standards; prior involvement in data migration or ICD upgrades is an advantage.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
