Senior Data Engineer

Contract: 1 year (extendable)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms supporting business intelligence, analytics, and AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across data engineering, cloud data platforms, ETL development, and modern data architectures, with exposure to Microsoft Fabric playing a key role in the organization's data transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest and transform data from multiple sources.
• Build and optimize data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, and modern cloud technologies.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes leveraging SQL, Python, PySpark, and cloud-native tools.
• Implement and maintain enterprise data warehouse, lakehouse, and data mart solutions.
• Design and maintain data models supporting business intelligence and analytics requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, data scientists, and application teams to understand data requirements.
• Support end-to-end data lifecycle management, including data governance, quality, security, and performance optimization.
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to data platform strategy and roadmap development.
• Implement CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines for data engineering solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data platform performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

Microsoft Fabric

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Exposure to Fabric components such as:
• Data Factory
• Lakehouse
• OneLake
• Data Warehouse
• Real-Time Analytics
• Power BI
• Experience designing and maintaining analytics solutions within Microsoft Fabric environments.

Data Engineering

• 4+ years experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence.
• Strong ETL/ELT development experience.
• Experience building data pipelines using Python and/or PySpark.
• Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.

Cloud Technologies

• Experience with Azure data services, including:
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Databricks
• Azure Logic Apps
• Azure DevOps
• Exposure to AWS environments such as:
• Amazon S3
• Data Lake architectures

Databases

• Strong experience with:
• Microsoft SQL Server
• MySQL
• Oracle

Data Architecture & Modeling

• Experience with:
• Data Warehouse design
• Lakehouse Architecture
• Medallion Architecture
• Data Vault Modeling
• Dimensional Modeling

Analytics & Reporting

• Experience supporting Business Intelligence and reporting platforms.
• Exposure to Power BI and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working alongside Data Science or Machine Learning teams.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation or data modernization initiatives.
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) or Agile project delivery experience.
• Microsoft, Databricks, Azure, or Fabric-related certifications.
• Master's Degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
