Senior Developer

About The Role

We are looking for a driven and collaborative professional to join our team and play a key role in delivering and supporting enterprise-level application solutions.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage manufacturing and delivery of IT application, change requests, internally and with SBU Engagement Manager/SMEs to ensure the consistency and proper functioning of the application system and to meet Business needs.
• Develop technical solution within the boundaries of the existing ecosystem.
• Engage with Squad Lead to develop and manage request deliverables, plan and timeline.
• Evaluating business process, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas of improvement, developing and implementing solutions.
• Review requirement analysis & SIT testing scope.
• Identify potential risks and issues in the delivery process and develop mitigation strategies.
• Drive efficiency and effectiveness within the solution delivery function with high-quality standards and adhere to best practices.
• Complete understanding of systems usage as it relates to day to day business operations and advocating improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of the solution.
• Provide production support and assist in identifying root causes of application lapses.
• Provide post-implementation support to the business users related to their areas of supports.
• Ensure compliance to all processes, audit and risk matters in the execution of user story.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 5 years experience in application development or a related field.
• Experience in the banking or fintech industry is an added advantage.
• Proven track record of involvement in at least two projects from development through to production deployment.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and SOLID and KISS principles, with the ability to apply them in real-world software solutions.
• Hands-on experience in developing and consuming web APIs/web services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficient in code versioning tools such as Git, including Git Flow practices.
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality software development, including unit testing and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment as part of a cross-functional team.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• High level of work ethic with strong time management and accountability skills.
• Experience of leading a technical team is preferred.
